What are Telegram collectible gifts (NFT gifts)?

Telegram gifts started as simple stickers you could send for Stars. Collectible gifts are the next step: a regular gift can be upgraded into a unique item with its own serial number, a model, a backdrop and a symbol. Only a limited number of upgrades exist for each gift, which is why collectors call them NFT gifts — every one is one of a kind and can be moved from account to account.

What makes a gift collectible

Number — the position in the collection, e.g. Ice Cream #189453. Low numbers are rarer to see and often cost more.
Model — the variant of the artwork. Each model has a rarity expressed in per mille (‰): a 5‰ model appears in about 0.5% of upgrades.
Backdrop — the colour and pattern behind the gift, also with its own rarity.
Symbol — the small icon repeated on the backdrop, again with rarity.

Together the three attributes define how rare a specific gift is. On Fuji Gift Market every card shows the model rarity on the picture, and the gift page lists all three with percentages.

Why people buy them

Collectible gifts sit on a Telegram profile like a badge, they can be sent as a present that stays in the receiver's account, and they trade on secondary markets for TON. Prices follow the collection's floor, the rarity of the attributes and the number.
