Upgrading a regular Telegram gift into a collectible
Regular Telegram gifts are bought for Stars and look the same for everyone. An upgrade turns one into a collectible: Telegram assigns a serial number and randomly draws a model, a backdrop and a symbol.
How an upgrade works
1. Receive or buy a regular gift that supports upgrading.
2. Pay the upgrade cost in Stars (some gifts include it).
3. Telegram mints the collectible with its attributes. From this point it has a number and can be transferred.
Limited supply
Each collection has a cap on upgrades. When the cap is reached, no new collectibles of that collection appear — which is why early collections keep their value and why floors differ so much between collections.
What you cannot choose
Model, backdrop and symbol are random. Getting a rare model is luck; buying one on a market is the reliable way. On Fuji Gift Market filter any collection by model to find the exact variant.
After the upgrade
The collectible can be shown on your profile, transferred to a friend, sold on a market or, for some collections, withdrawn to the TON blockchain. Fuji Gift trades gifts that stay inside Telegram.
